Discovery School’s Parents Association (DSPA) is a non-profit association run by volunteer parents. The specific purpose of DSPA is the planning, funding, and operation of supplemental educational programs and activities that make Discovery School the exceptional, nurturing, and enriching environment that it is. As a parent, you are a member of the Parents Association. The DSPA budget comes from dues and various fundraising activities throughout the year such as our annual Bake Sale, Scrip, Label Daddy, Restaurant Nights, and the Bid for Kids Silent Auction held at our Annual Gala.
Every year the DSPA Co-Presidents, Discovery School Director, Teachers and Staff plan an incredible curriculum and our DSPA Student Education Committee organize some amazing enrichment programs that children love! Many of these programs include field trips, special in-school visits, music performances, as well as seasonal events like our Fall Picnic, Pumpkin Patch, and Snow Day.
There are many ways you can get involved and be a part of your child’s preschool experience. Volunteer to be a room parent, join a DSPA committee, chair an event or sign up to help out with a class party. No matter how big or small, you are making a difference!
Parents Association (DSPA) meetings are held throughout the year and are an excellent way to get updates on school curriculum, events, and other important information.
