Outdoor Learning
Bringing learning outdoors and into nature is an important aspect of our curriculum. All students spend time visiting and feeding our animals, including birds, turtles, goats, chickens, pigs, horses, sheep and bunnies. Through our farm curriculum, they learn about taking care of other living beings, life cycles and animal properties.
Our outdoor classroom is also utilized by all classes as a way of incorporating nature into our program. Children take part in sensory and nature projects, mix up creations in our outdoor kitchen and get messy in our outdoor art area.
Additionally, all classes take part in planting projects throughout the year, growing their own flowers and foods that are then used at our school-wide Farmer's Market.
